I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel in Port of Spain for a wedding, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the location. It was just down the hill from the Hilton, making it a convenient choice for attending the wedding festivities. There were also several restaurants within walking distance, allowing me to explore the local cuisine.
I did encounter one negative aspect during my time at the hotel. the area surrounding the hotel was described as bad and dangerous in one of the reviews.

I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the value for money it offered. The prices were reasonable and included parking, internet, and other amenities that were charged separately at other places. The staff were excellent - very pleasant and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the basic amenities provided, despite the hotel being a bit shoddy, were more than sufficient. I was particularly impressed by the attentive service provided by Donna at the reception desk, who went out of her way to ensure my comfort. The location of the hotel, near the savannah, was great for exploring the area and enjoying the surroundings.
All in all, I had a memorable stay and can't think of anything that could be improved.

We had a great stay in Trinidad thanks to the friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of fresh fruit and warm entrees. We appreciated the complementary drinks in our room upon arrival and the help navigating the city from the employees. The location was perfect for us, situated near key attractions and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. One of the best aspects of our stay was the relaxing pool area, complete with a lovely waterfall feature.
Although the hotel offered complementary items, we were disappointed to discover that there were extra charges for some amenities, such as the internet and parking. Additionally, while the surroundings were generally pleasant, we did find some aspects of the neighborhood disconcerting, particularly the nearby mental hospital.
